Ace Parking is making more electric charging stations available to drivers of electric vehicles. These additions will help strengthen an infrastructure that many consider to be weak, which may encourage more car buyers to invest in this green technology.
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) November 13, 2013 – Though carmakers have seemingly increased the amount of electric vehicle offerings with each new model year, the infrastructure currently in place in the United States is less than adequate in its ability to support mainstream use of these vehicles. Ace Parking is trying to do their part to change that.
Ace Parking recently announced that it would be adding its own electric vehicle charging stations to several of their locations nationwide. The announcement was made amid growing consternation among consumers that there are not nearly enough charging stations available to support their vehicles. At Ace Parking, Keith Jones agrees, saying, “We saw a gap in the infrastructure supporting these vehicles. We wanted to provide our customers with the support they need, regardless of the kind of car they drive.”
Many car buyers have voiced concern and displeasure with what they believe may be a sort of discrimination against electric vehicles. Fortunately, companies such as Ace Parking are attempting to change that perception by making more charging stations available for their consumers.
When asked what prompted the move by Ace Parking, Scott Jones replied, “It was mostly done out of a desire to help our customers who drive electric vehicles. But we also saw an opportunity to support green technologies, and our company has always been very supportive of that.”
The company is indeed supportive of green technologies. In addition to the installation of charging stations in California, Texas, Maryland, Arizona and the District of Columbia, Ace Parking has a number of other green parking initiatives under its belt, and offers suggestions on its website on how to “reduce waste and redundancy, lessen your carbon footprint, and save money in the process.”
Supporters of green technologies will be happy to learn of Ace Parking’s continuing support of green initiatives. Drivers of electric vehicles will certainly be happy to know that the infrastructure for their vehicles is beginning to grow.
